Monday morning: 8:45am – 9:30am
We also open on Kindergarten Orientation days (during the 2nd week) and on some pupil-free day at the beginning of term. Please check the school newsletter for confirmation of special trading days. School Newsletters can be found here.
About The Uniform Pool
The Uniform Pool is run by a sub-committee of the P&C. The committee members and helpers at the Uniform Pool are all parent volunteers and we welcome any offer of help. Pre-schoolers are welcome. Helping out at the Uniform Pool is not difficult and is a great way to get to know others at the school.
The Uniform Pool is the sole stockist for our girls summer and winter uniforms. We also carry a wide range of other uniform clothing and accessories needed by students. We stock quality clothes and our prices are kept low as we have none of the costs a commercial business must cover.
Secondhand clothing is available through the Uniform Pool. You are welcome to browse through what is available on Monday mornings and make a purchase. Whilst there is a wide variety of second hand clothing held at the uniform pool, the availability of particular items or sizes is purely random. Come and have a look – you may find a bargain.
Financial assistance is available through the school for families who are experiencing difficulty purchasing a uniform. All queries should be directed to the Principal via the school office.
Our preference is for uniforms to be ordered through flexischools, rather than purchased at the shop window. To place an order online go to www.flexischools.com.au
Orders will be sent home with your child on Mondays. Alternatively, you can nominate to pick up prepaid orders from the uniform pool if you wish.
To order online go to http://www.flexischools.com.au and click “Register Now”. You will be sent an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration. Once registered, you can start ordering immediately.
Please note – prices are subject to change without notice.
Payment for prepaid orders via an order form: CHEQUE (payable to “NWPS Uniform Pool”) or CREDIT (Mastercard, & Visa). Cash payments can be made on Monday mornings only. Please note, our preference at the shop window is credit card or eftpos.
Items may be returned for exchange due to wrong size within 3 weeks of purchase. Such items must be in condition sold, with labels and packaging, and receipt as proof of sale.
Items sold from the second hand rack cannot be returned. Please check items carefully and check sizing before purchasing.
Items can be exchanged at the shop window or school office. If returning through the office, please include a not requesting the size change. The correct size will then be sent home with your child.
Dr Shoe trades at the school outside the hall near the canteen on occasional Monday mornings. Further information about the services offered by Dr Shoe, including home fittings, can be found at www.drshoe.com.au.
Selling Second-Hand Items Through Consignment
Items accepted for sale by consignment include:
- Uniform clothing in good repair i.e. minimal fading, no rips in fabric, no staining (white shirts must BE white)
- Library bags, music bags and backpacks which have no holes and fastenings intact (zippers, string ties)
Items NOT accepted:
- Non-uniform clothing (if we don’t sell it new, we won’t be able to sell it secondhand)
- Sizes out of our normal range of 4 – 18
Consignments will be offered for sale for a period of one year after which you may choose to have the items returned to you or convert as a donation to the school.
Prices will be set by Uniform Pool Committee members and will vary depending on the condition of the item. The Uniform Pool takes a 20% cut of the sale price to help cover our costs and to contribute to our fundraising for the P&C. You will receive payment by cheque once all items on your consignment form have been sold, or after one year if not all items are sold before then.
To put items on consignment, please download and print out the Consignment Form. Fill in your details and the Item and Size columns ONLY, and select your option for return or donation. Attach it securely to the bag containing your consignment. Consignments may be left at the Uniform Pool or at the school office.
The Uniform Pool is open during the 2nd week of orientation and this is a good time to purchase or order your uniforms. As Orientation is held quite late in the year we would appreciate receiving your uniform order as soon as possible to ensure that we have the stock needed on hand for the beginning of the next year.
If your child is likely to need a size 4 or 5 uniform, we strongly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to order early as we do not hold much stock in these sizes. You can come to the Uniform Pool during our normal opening hours to check your child’s size. Please remember to allow for growth between Orientation and February of the next year.
